Held On The Tips Of Fingers

Tomo Campbell’s debut show, ‘Held On The Tips Of Fingers’, marries a pastel English colour palette with pastoral symbolism and visions of barely decipherable figures. Like apparitions, Campbell’s protagonists dance between canvases, perhaps a reference to his time as the National Ballet’s artist-in-residence. Campbell’s large scale oil paintings dominate the room, his brush strokes reminiscent of the free jazz so influential to his work.
